Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 June 2026 · Version 1.1
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Chordict (www.chordict.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
Chordict is operated by Mehmet Akif VARDAR (sole proprietor, Türkiye). Contact: info@chordict.com
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Chordict. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits. You must provide accurate information during registration.
4. Service Description
Chordict is an AI-powered audio analysis tool that detects chords and transcribes lyrics from audio files you upload. Analysis results are produced by machine-learning models and are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any chord or lyric output. Results are intended as an aid, not a definitive transcription.
5. Acceptable Use
Technical limits per upload:
- Maximum file size: 25 MB
- Maximum duration: 15 minutes
- Accepted formats: MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, WebM, M4A, MP4
- Rate limit: up to 4 analyses per minute per account, with 1 job processed at a time
You must not use the service to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription paywall by technical or other means
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from the service
- Introduce malware, exploits, or other harmful code
- Interfere with or overload our infrastructure in a way that degrades the service for other users
6. User Content and Licences
You retain full ownership of any audio files you upload (“User Content”). By uploading User Content you grant Chordict a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content — including transmitting it to our sub-processors — solely for the purpose of providing the analysis service to you. This licence terminates when you delete the analysis or your account.
You represent and warrant that you own the audio you upload, or that you have a lawful right to use it for this purpose. Uploading audio files that you are not licensed to use may infringe the rights of copyright holders.
7. Subscription, Billing, and Trial
Plan and pricing
Chordict Plus is available for $5.99 USD per month (or the local-currency equivalent determined by Polar, our billing provider). Pricing is shown at checkout. Polar acts as the Merchant of Record and handles applicable VAT and sales taxes.
Free trial
New subscribers receive a 3-day free trial. A valid payment method is required at the time of trial activation. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged on day 4 and the subscription will auto-renew monthly.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time via the Manage subscription option in your account menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date. Cancellation before your free trial ends means you will not be charged.
Refund policy
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds for subscription payments already charged, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact info@chordict.com.
Past-due payments
If a payment fails, your subscription enters a “past due” state and Polar will attempt to collect payment. Access is maintained during this grace period. If payment continues to fail, the subscription will be revoked and access will end.
8. DMCA and Copyright
Chordict respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to info@chordict.com including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing (URL or description)
- Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorised
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your electronic or physical signature
We will respond promptly to valid notices. Repeat infringers' accounts will be terminated.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but make no guarantees of uptime or availability. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the service at any time. Where we discontinue the service entirely, we will provide reasonable advance notice to registered users and will not charge for any period following discontinuation.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Chordict immediately and without notice if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. The deletion of your data following termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chordict's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Chordict is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions the above limitations apply to the extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chordict and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms, (b) User Content you upload, or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Any changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page, and your continued use of the service after that constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review this page periodically.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Türkiye.
Nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
